Dear students,
I am writing to inform you about an opportunity to present at the 2024 Society for Utopian Studies Conference, which will take place in Tulum, Mexico, from October 17-19, 2024. While the conference focuses on the larger theme of Elsewhere and Elsewhen, we are accepting presentation abstracts specifically related to the notion of Asian Utopia, possibly focusing on the representation of utopia in Asian science fiction. For further details on the conference, please see the Society for Utopian Studies' call for papers: https://utopian-studies.org/conference2024/
Please note that we have a short deadline. In order to apply to this conference, please submit your CV, transcript, and an abstract of 250 words to this email by this Friday (May 31st) at noon. After the initial selection process, we will invite you to submit your full presentation essay at a later date and make the final decision regarding financial support for the conference. Additionally, to qualify for financial support from the BK21 project, you must maintain your status as a BK scholarship recipient or a BK participant in Fall 2024.
Thank you for your interest, and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Best,
Sungjin
